Land North of Oakley Lane, Merley – Community Consultation

Cala is purchasing the site at Land North of Oakley Lane, Merley from Richborough Estates following the decision of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council to grant outline planning permission, and will be bringing forward the detailed Reserved Matter applications.

The site was recently given a resolution to grant outline planning permission by BCP Council for a phased development of up to 550 new homes and a 62-bed care home.

Cala Homes will now be taking forward the delivery of the scheme through a series of Reserved Matter Applications which will grant approval for the layout, scale, massing, landscaping and internal access details.

Our consultation – relating to our Phase 1 proposals which includes a 285 new homes, landscaping, community car parks and open space including SANG for new and existing residents – took place between Thursday 19^th January and Thursday 2^nd February 2023.

During this time our ‘Virtual Exhibition’ was available on this website displaying detailed information regarding the emerging proposals, as well as an online feedback form to enable you to provide comments.

Additionally, Cala hosted an in-person consultation event at Canford Magna Centre on Thursday 19^th January 2023, to offer attendees the opportunity to discuss proposals with project team members and provide feedback.
