Welcome to the Elizabeth Quarter website
Cala Homes has been selected as the development partner of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead to bring forward development proposals on the land at Maidenhead Golf Course in accordance with the Council’s adopted Borough Local Plan.

The Borough Local Plan
The Royal Borough has an adopted Borough Local Plan which allocates the land at Maidenhead Golf Course for development and removes it from the green belt.
The Council has further set out guidance on how the site should be developed in a draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) which was the subject of public consultation in Summer 2022 and formally adopted at the end of 2022.

Elizabeth Quarter
The vision for Elizabeth Quarter is to deliver a vibrant new neighbourhood that will contribute positively to the vitality of Maidenhead.
The site is well located in proximity to the Elizabeth Line and Great Western Railway Mainline, the town centre and local services.
The development will provide much needed new homes, as well as the on-site infrastructure to support the needs of both existing and new residents and provide a substantial area of publicly accessible amenity open space for everyone to enjoy.

Cala Homes
Cala Homes, part of the Cala Group, is a major UK housebuilder and leading provider of desirable new homes across Scotland and England.
We are passionate about creating vibrant and sustainable communities. We build aspirational homes with sensitivity and consideration, ensuring our developments become part of the communities in which they are built.

Cala in the Community
Cala has always been committed to making a positive and lasting contribution to local communities. We seek to build long-term partnerships during the life of our developments through an active programme of community support.
Our school outreach programme includes presentations on site safety, educational visits to our sites, and informing young people on the career opportunities in housebuilding.
Each year we support hundreds of local causes across the UK by giving local groups, schools and charitable organisations the opportunity to apply for a share of a Bursary pot in their area. To date we have supported over 400 causes with funding.
